Toys, electronics, apparel and other departments will be coloration-coded in shop for the first time so that buyers can quickly discover bargains. The codes will be out there on the retailer’s Black Friday circular and shop maps.
For decades, Black Friday has marked the commence of the getaway buying year in the United States with shops providing steep discount rates. But its reputation has been on the wane with the increase of online buying and affordable bargains in the course of the year.
The getaway buying year, which runs by means of Christmas on Dec. twenty five, can account for as significantly as 40 % of retailers’ yearly income.
Steve Bratspies, Wal-Mart’s chief merchandising officer, told reporters on a convention contact that the retailer is well prepared to attract in buyers this getaway year.

Wal-Mart will kick off Black Friday bargains at 12:01 a.m. EST online on Thanksgiving morning and at six p.m. neighborhood time in its retailers.
