  1. Wow, this girl just discovered some really cool stuff. Would have been even more impressive if all this stuff hadn't been known and taught for over a 100 years. Very poor story telling. Nice images though.

  2. Interesting, but more popularist than factual, even by the standards of modern research.
    And a Wild Bill Soapbox:
Index fossils are a wish list for evolutionists. There is no proof that they're the age assigned to them. Thing is, it was either guesstimate and take off from there or stall forever for lack of confirmation of favorite theory . . . and watch your funding dry up. Same thing With Astronomy and calculating the distances between objects by agreement to to say "Cephid Variables" are all exactly the same size, meaning that distance can be guesstimated-without any hard evidence at all. Inferred data is not the same as direct observation and will never replace it . . . but it does allow scientists to obtain funding and that's what all human endeavor is about, from prostitution to space exploration to dark matter theories: funding.

  3. I heard it takes 26000 years for the Sun to travel its Galactic orbit and like the Earths elliptical orbit maybe our Star has an elliptical orbit too. A difference of only 50,000 kms creates winter and summer variations maybe Ice ages are caused by the same type of Solar orbital variations. Anyway I am off to build a mini fusion reactor to power my interstellar air conditioning unit!!

  4. So 10,000 to 7000 years ago the Sahara was green. It turns green every 20,000 years. It dried out over only 200 years. The next wobble will be in 15,000 years. How long until the next greening starts? From the numbers, it seems that in 10,000 years it will start be green again.
These wobbles are sudden or gradual?

  5. Does it seem odd that these artifacts, (that they reference as contributing to their theory of vast amounts of rivers/lakes, "and I share the perspective" however…), are just laying atop the ground some 5,000+ years later!?! Would they not be covered by sand and dirt?
(no digging required – to pick-up sea shells, bones, beads?)

With the exception of reference to (all humans originated in Africa – once thought to be the case, but recent finding have indicated that this theory has an exception and is under further studies. Thus, for the purpose of that comment it is best phrase, "Studies indicate the majority of humans originated in the Africa region.)
With these points in mind, this did appear to be an excellent documentary and supported by what appeared to be "ethical scientific facts and studies" – The Gold Standard desired for Documentaries that are to be used for educational purposes.
    But –
One must question these points –
We are finding evidence of an overwhelming amount of inaccurate information use in Curriculum Education in the USA Schools – all schools from start to date.

Ideally "all science, history, archaeology, psychology, and like fields" would have greater credibility with the protocol used by Sociology Professionals that adhere to their developed standards in "Sociological Research Methodologies and Statistics". These standards establish strict and clear efforts in the application of rules and formulas to avoid the outcomes from being tainted by preconceived beliefs, thoughts, expectations. (Sociologists are the more desired researchers to employ by companies that are in the business of providing research, surveys, and/or data in any given area) – especially if there's a requirement of human interviews and surveys – for any given field or subject. Ideally the research in lab, field, or interviews, would benefit from the addition of a Research Credentialed Sociologist [MS or PhD] to supervise the overall research project including, in the review, and in combining of the facts to prepare for final composition and preparation for presentation or delivery.

During my research in 3 separate fields, it has become most apparent that the various materials, journal articles, books, audio, and/or video, share an overwhelming shadow of points that I consider an invalidation of the work, should it require a review by Credentialed Research Professionals – and that includes all that I can recall with Peer Review. Peer Review simply indicates the subject's materials and information meets the opinions and fraternal guidelines of a given field – these are clearly not an unbiased, or measurable standard.

We have a dire need for – open minds seeking greater facts and ethical commitments to Truths, unshaken by the threat of judgemental scholars using fraternal or preconceived goals to support older work or their own work.

With the advances in technology, equipment, and in-lab sciences, these points I've mentioned are literally: derailing projects, extinguishing potentials, holding up progress, and concealing facts. This is a serious fraudulent act upon the fields, the universities, and those whom stand to benefit from the outcomes, i.e. mankind.

  6. What I really would like to know is – if the tectonic plates of Africa moved towards Europe slowly over millions of years, how is there wales buried instantly? Everyone know a fish degrades in less than a day in the hot sun. We don't dig next to the ocean to day to find hundreds of big animals buried instantly. Which must have happened to these hundreds of wales and fish.

  7. What we need to do… is take animal and human manure… and start spreading it lottle by little, several feet thick, miles wide… and progressively pump ground water up onto it and plant fast growing super hardy weeds on the nightsoil and manure… and progressively push the desert back… little by little.

  8. I did hear one sign to say if they drill down 1000 ft they say that there is a huge Lake of water under the Sierra Desert so that means all the topsoil that the plants were growing in blow away

  9. I've never been a Believer but I am now. of a certain body that comes through our solar system because if you look at things Hal life diminished in so many different years just in less than 3000 years or so there's always a catastrophic event that shows up in the mud and The Rock deposit and I got a feeling that this is going to happen again and what it does is wipe the Slate clean but not everything dies.! It sucks because I don't want it to happen in my lifetime I want to see my grandchildren and I want to see them grow up and I want them to grow up and see their grandbabies but we got to do what God has planned for us guaranteed 2000 years the United States will look totally different than what it does now do United States might be a desert area or it could be like the Antarctic who knows because of the proof of all the fireballs something is pushing them out of their orbit because since 2006 things has been getting worse and now our core is heating up so I think this happens every so often and there will be survivors and Life Will Go On Again I'm not saying I'm right because I was a non-believer to but there's so much scientific geologist that says that there's been so many changes every so thousand many years so it's bound to happen again whether or not if it's from a planet going through our solar system that's to be seen or it's just natural nature hopefully if people stop being so evil maybe the Earth wood stable I do believe things work on vibrations and the vibrations are so out of whack for this Earth right now we need a streak of luck to get all these corrupted evil people back in believing something other than worshiping evil things like today

  10. That ground will be green again one day. It might even be tundra or frozen one day. Continents don't stay in one place.
BTW, I know Dr. Smith and I can't imagine having anyone better to get her hands dirty investigating this. She is top-notch.

  11. Instead of saying 'Earth a unique planet' perhaps ' a seemingly unique planet' – no one know for sure – there could be parallel Earths or, as Buddha taught, others out there that are the same

  12. These stupid comments of millions of years is so asinine, I guess you can say anything…who can refute it….Stupid assumptions and spoken like it is absolute fact is too funny to have any credibility!

  13. It is true that one of the largest fresh water aquifers lies beneath Saudi Arabia; however, we see what has happened in other areas when aquifers have been over used. It takes hundreds of years to create an aquifer and mankind can empty one in less than a hundred years. I am sure they are looking to that source and planning as to how to tap that resource in a sustainable manner. We know too well in California and other parts of the country what depleting aquifers means. It means water for people today and devastation for the next generation.
